The course

The route is mainly flat, taking runners from Crowmarsh, over the river onto the banks of Wallingford and through the town to the bridge. There’s plenty of fun to be had for both hardened athletes and first-time runners.

The course is a 5k loop, with 10k runners completing two circuits.

Supportive marshals will be ready to help in key locations around the course, for your safety and comfort.

Please ensure you follow marshals’ instructions throughout – and remember that only 10k runners need to complete a second circuit.

We will be doing our utmost to ensure a free-flowing race. However, there are some narrower sections, where we ask you to take care and exercise caution.

There are multiple road crossings on each circuit within Wallingford. Please be considerate to pedestrians and other runners. No roads will be closed, so please take care when crossing.

Please do not run in the road – for your own and others’ safety. For this, and other reasons, no earphones or headphones of any kind are allowed.

Condition of the Course and Race Cancellation

The race route includes sections that run along the river bank or are close to the river. We reserve the right to cancel the race at any point before the race start time should adverse weather conditions render the course unsafe.

We regret that we cannot offer refunds if the race is cancelled due to extreme conditions as we will have already incurred operating costs. We ask for your understanding and support on this matter.
